Guerra Communications is a Hispanic Family owned organization with three FM Radio Stations and two Event Venues under our belt. Powell Broadcasting is a six-station cluster, and began working with Regional Reps in December of 2008. Our relationship was kicked off with a market visit by Doug and Kirk during a bitterly cold spell in early January. None of us (with over 26 years in the market) could ever remember a market visit by the rep firm before!
The most striking difference between Regional Reps and other rep firms I’ve worked with is their sales structure. Having A/E’s continually making calls on the planners, media directors, and buyers allows for the opportunity to tell our stations’ stories; and truly pitch our stations prior to a buy coming down…a time when agencies are more inclined to listen. We have already achieved in the first two quarters of 2009 the same rep revenue totals we had for all of 2008 on these stations.
